“Going for the One in a Roundabout Kind of Way”

Michael Marsolek quit his job in the restaurant industry, moving 750 miles back to Montana because of a song.

Michael Marsolek is a musician and radio personality from Missoula. He is a singer, percussionist and professional Didgeridoo player and sings with the 24 voice acapella choir Dolce Canto. Michael is a founding member of Drum Brothers world percussion ensemble and has played professionally in a number of groups for more than 25 years. Every winter you will find him and his musical partner Lawrence Duncan on the road with “A Musical Dreamtime Journey”  celebrating the winter solstice season with candlelight concerts in the round. His voice is familiar to radio listeners across Montana as by day he is the Program Director for the Montana Public Radio network. He has been at his current position since the day after September 11th.  He lives with his two younger children in the Rattlesnake. Michael told a story a few years ago about his oldest daughter titled “the parenting for life plan” the update is that he is now a grandfather too.
