“A Promise Broken, Thank God”

This edition of Tell Us Something was recorded on December 3rd, 2013 at the Top Hat Lounge in Missoula, MT. The theme was “Promises”.

Susie Risho shares her story “A Promise Broken, Thank God”. After years of running restaurants, Susie’s husband Ray swears of future restaurant ownership, saying, “never again”. Then Abe comes up with a name for a new restaurant and learns from his father how to cook.

Susie Risho has lived in Missoula, MT with her husband Ray since 1968. She has taught in several private schools in town for about thirty years and ran her own preschool for 7 years.

Susie continues to direct a non profit in town, called StoryKeepers, dedicated to help people find and keep their own, and their loved-ones’ stories.

She currently is president of the Art Associates of Missoula and on the board for Rocky Mountain Ballet Theater.

Her lifelong interest in various art forms continues, and her work can be seen at The Silk Road Restaurant.
