“6th and Van Buren”

Becca Kelly remembers a life changing night in 2002. She was carrying a double major in Russian and German. Marina Kanevskaya, her Russian professor was killed in a hit and run accident at 6th Street and Van Bueren, and Becca remembers how this affected her.

Becca Kelly grew up in the countryside of Eastern Pennsylvania, and ended up unexpectedly settling down in Missoula a few years back. In her late teens and 20s she traveled a fair amount and discovered a love for foreign language. She still is figuring out what to do with that in Missoula MT, and in the meantime spends her time either with her 3 year old son, or focusing on the things she loves to do, like yoga, singing and playing guitar, making jewelry, and getting outside in this beautiful place we live.

This episode of Tell Us Something was recorded in front of a live audience on September 20, 2016, at The Wilma in Missoula, MT. 11 storytellers shared their story. The theme was “Fork in the Road”.

Today’s podcast comes to us from Becca Kelly and is titled “6th and Van Buren”. Thank you for listening.
