“U-Turn”

This edition of Tell Us Something was recorded on February 18th, 2014 at the Top Hat Lounge in Missoula, MT. The theme was “What Are You Waiting For”.

Gabby Grant shares her story “U-Turn”. That last moment in life, we ask if we are OK with our life.

Gabby Grant – started her life from humble beginnings on the Leach Lake Indian Reservation in Cass Lake Minnesota. Gabby is the oldest of four siblings, so has had lots of practice managing chaos. This early experience translated well for the many and varied jobs she has held:  rink attendant, lifeguard, engineer, construction superintendent, brewer and all-around badass.

She is a graduate of the Marquette University College of Engineering in Milwaukee, which has also very much shaped the person she has become and was a springboard for her exciting life.

She is the first person her friends call when they have a question regarding just about anything, home improvements, taxes, brewing beer.  You name it, she’s done it, or at least has tried it and has a very formed opinion on it.

She met her now wife Ashley while building a wind project in Illinois.  These days, she’s the one getting bossed around by their lovely one year old daughter Lily.  And she is totally okay with how the tables have turned because nothing is more important to her than family now.
