“Rafting the Lochsa”

This edition of Tell Us Something was recorded on March 21, 2013 at the Top Hat Lounge in Missoula, MT. The theme was “Extremes”.

Stephanie Wing shares her story “Rafting the Lochsa”. Stephanie Wing instructs her rescuer to let her go as she is falling out of the boat on the Locsa River, falling back into the rapids and is sucked under the raft.

Steph Wing is a Montana girl.  Born in Bozeman while her folks were going to college.  She spent half her childhood in Denver Colorado with her mother & the last half of her childhood in Missoula with her father, step-mother, brother Josh, 2 sisters: Erin & Maren.  She accrued some more siblings in her father’s most recent marriage, Marielle & Keely Williams.  She loves her siblings.  Steph has a daughter Gwyndelynn who is going to be 11 in January.  She has taught Art in Anchorage Alaska and has now been teaching English and Art at Willard Alternative school for the past 6 years. Joys in life are family, hiking, swimming, cross country skiing, making weird creatures out of clay and yarn, and challenging herself to do activities that are out of her comfort zone- such as hockey and storytelling.
