“Father of My Father”

Samuel Jaxin Enemy-Hunter shares his story “Father of My Father”. Samuel Jaxin Enemy-Hunter grew up on the reservation. He was told to never leave the res. He became depressed and left home to move in with his uncle, determined to get back at his parents. He had to later return to care for his sick father.

Samuel Jaxin Enemy-Hunter is an enrolled member of the Crow Tribe and grew up on the Crow Indian Reservation. He is descendant of Chief Enemy-Hunter and comes from the Bird-In-Ground and YellowTail families. He comes from the Greasy Mouth Clan and is a Child of the Big Lodge Clan.

Sam is a bead work artist and a student at UM studying Creative Writing with an emphasis in Non-Fiction and Poetry. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of his Great-Grandmother Winona Plenty Hoops, a world renown storyteller
