March 2021 Newsletter

Spring is here!

Some of the things that have happened since I last checked in:

  1. I turned 50
  2. I collaborated with Heather Adams, Elijah Fisher and Shenoah Curleywildshoe on a dramatic reading of an Amanda Gorman poem for Spark! Arts Ignite Learning Missoula

Check out that video here:

The podcast is on a brief hiatus as I cross off some neglected behind-the-scenes todos off the list.

And finally, I want to let you know about a storytelling festival that’s coming up this month. A participant of the drop-in workshop will be sharing stories during the 2021 virtual Women’s Storytelling Festival.

I’ll let her tell you about it:

“I’m really excited to be a part of the event, it is quite a stellar lineup. Here is a link to event info:

https://www.bettersaidthandone.com/womens-festival

It will be March 19-21. I’ll be performing at each show, telling five stories total. I’ll be doing one tall tale, a folk tale, a personal narrative, and two blends of a folktale and a personal narrative.

They’ve set the donation minimum at $10, with the recommended contribution of $40 for the whole event. Viewers will have access to the recordings for two weeks after the show.”

–Morgan Reynolds

Morgan is also known as Miss Mo, and has a YouTube storytelling channel. You can check that out here.

Take care of yourself. Take care of each other. Wear your mask when you go out. Stay at home when you can, and have a story-worthy day.

Thanks,
